Polystyrene Adhesive

Polystyrene adhesive is formulated to bond strongly without attacking or dissolving the polystyrene surface. This is a critical consideration: many solvent-based adhesives will melt or degrade EPS (expanded polystyrene) and XPS (extruded polystyrene) foam — a polystyrene-safe adhesive is essential.

Why polystyrene is difficult to bond:

Polystyrene has a non-polar surface with low surface energy, which causes many adhesives to bead up and fail to wet out correctly, resulting in poor adhesion. Our range uses specially selected chemistry to overcome this.
