A timber door manufacturer needed to get their current adhesive cure time of 80 seconds below 60 seconds to facilitate increased output without compromising bond quality.

Using our Discovery process we identified the objectives the manufacturer was needing to solve. The clients main objective was to reduce the cure time.
Ureka arranged for a full trial at the manufacturer using the Prefere 4114 urea formaldehyde resin adhesive with the Prefere 5278 liquid hardener. This adhesive system gives an all day pot life and is very fast curing at elevated press temperatures.
The results achieved during the trial with the technical consultants surpassed expectations cutting the current cure time by half!
