Wakol Intercoll D 3443 is a water-based, solvent-free contact adhesive designed for contact-bonding upholstery foam. It is suitable for foam-to-foam bonding and for bonding foam to absorbent materials commonly used in upholstery work. It offers high initial tack and is especially suitable for innerspring mattress production where fast foam bonding is needed. The dried adhesive film is described as very flexible and resistant against ageing.

Recommended uses

• Contact-bonding upholstery foam (foam-to-foam)
• Bonding foam to upholstery fabrics, leather, wood, hard fibre, paperboard, fleece, and other absorbent materials
• Production environments such as innerspring mattress manufacturing (high initial tack)

How to apply

• Supplied ready for use. For normal use, do not dilute and do not blend with other adhesives.
• Ensure surfaces are free of dirt, dust, and grease before bonding.
• Apply using a double roller or a spray gun (a low-pressure spray gun is recommended at roughly 1.5–2.5 bar).
• No airing time is required. Typical open time is approximately 25 minutes (depending on conditions).
• Processing temperature should be above +15 °C.

Important notes

• Do not inhale spray mist; use suitable exhaust/ventilation and respiratory protection if required.
• To help prevent coagulation in delivery lines/equipment, parts in contact with the adhesive should be stainless steel or plastic.

Cleanup & storage

• Clean fresh adhesive with water. After drying, a dedicated remover is required (per TDS guidance).
• Store between +5 °C and +30 °C. The product is frost-sensitive. Unopened storage is stated as up to 6 months at +20 °C.
