Titebond III Ultimate Wood Glue

Titebond III Ultimate Wood Glue is a premium, one-part waterproof adhesive for demanding interior and exterior woodworking. Its advanced polymer formula passes the stringent ANSI/HPVA Type I water-resistance specification, while still cleaning up with water when wet.

Titebond III Ultimate combines high bond strength, strong initial tack and a longer open assembly time, making it suitable for garden furniture, planters, bird boxes, outdoor projects, furniture, cabinetry and detailed joinery. Its lower minimum application temperature also makes it useful in cooler workshops.

Typical applications

Use Titebond III Ultimate for garden furniture, planters, bird boxes, outdoor timber projects, chopping boards, furniture, cabinetry, shelving, joinery and other close-fitting wood assemblies where high water resistance and dependable strength are required.

Application guidance

Apply when the adhesive, timber and working environment are above approximately 7°C. Spread an even coat onto one bonding surface using the bottle, a brush or a roller. At approximately 21°C and 50% relative humidity, the open assembly time is 8–10 minutes and the total assembly time is 20–25 minutes. Apply enough clamping pressure to bring the joint tightly together.

Cleaning and limitations

Remove wet excess adhesive with a damp cloth. Scrape or sand away dried residue. Although Titebond III Ultimate is classified as waterproof under ANSI/HPVA Type I testing, it is not suitable for continuous immersion, use below the waterline, or structural and load-bearing applications. Test adhesion on treated, exotic or oily timbers, and test contact with metal where corrosion may be a concern. Keep from freezing.
