Best Practice: How to mix Turfstikk PU500 before application?

Prepare the surfaces

Ensure that the surfaces to be bonded are smooth, clean and free from dust or other deposits.

Both components should be acclimatised to working temperature (approx. 20C) This helps the optimal performance of the adhesive.

Mix the components

Before application, Turfstikk PU500 Part A and Part B need to be thoroughly mixed. Start by adding the Part B hardener to Part A.

Mixing process

Use an electric drill equipped with a mixing paddle to combine the two components. Continue mixing until a consistent colour is achieved.

The mixing process should take approximately 2 minutes. However, be sure to scrape the sides and bottom of the pail to ensure all the adhesive is mixed thoroughly.

Once the adhesive is mixed thoroughly, leave the adhesive to rest for a few minutes to allow the hardener to start activating the adhesive mix. Then apply the adhesive to the substrate you are bonding too.
